Thank you for a great first year
Eighty-eight players teed it up at Cowboys Golf Club on September 24 for the first MCBA Chairman's Cup. Seventeen sponsors backed the day, the winners took home more than $6,000 in prizes, and the After Party brought barbecue, the awards and a live set from Mitchell Ferguson.
The recap
Thank you to everyone who played, sponsored and showed up. We could not have asked for a better first year.
The morning started with breakfast and the TopTracer range. The shotgun went off at 8:00, and the field played a scramble across all eighteen holes of Cowboys Golf Club, the only NFL themed golf club in the world.
MCBA built the Chairman's Cup to put the CEOs, owners and dealmakers who build DFW on one course for a day, and to raise money for community programs across the region. The first one did both.
Proceeds fund MCBA community programs across DFW, including GIVElocal, and support our partner Untrafficked, a 501(c)(3) working to protect children.
The winners
Zach Sams, Aaron Loose, Tyler Isbell and David Lagat took first for Kensington Vanguard, and they did it without a single mulligan.

The prizes
Winners took home more than $6,000 in prizes, including custom Bison coolers made in the USA and a Byron Nelson signed golf bag.

The After Party
After the round, the field sat down to a barbecue lunch, the winners collected their prizes, and Mitchell Ferguson played the After Party live.
Ferguson is a Dallas songwriter who has been working this city's stages for years. In 2024 he posted a song poking fun at how Nashville writes pop country, and the joke backfired beautifully: "Drink a Beer" crossed a million views in two days, country radio blogs called it an accidental top ten hit, and the Dallas Observer named him Best New Country Artist of 2025. He beat the Nashville formula at its own game without ever leaving Texas.
